Gare maritime, Brussels

We have been developing designs to adapt and sustain an old Tramshed in Hackney for the Benyon Estate. During this time we have repeatedly admired, considerer and referred to the conversion of the old Gare Maritime in Brussels. Its an exemplary case study in how to adapt and sustain an old building and give it a new use.

The team were thrilled to see it in the flesh, explore the old and new construction as well as just gawp at the scale!
