LSA-Working with Heritage  - part 4 course

The London School of Architecture (LSA) are breaking the mould with a new idea. It is an idea worth sharing.

Through Part 4 the LSA are reclaiming the learning landscape and fostering a new culture of practice that advances – through lifelong learning – the creation of equitable and flourishing buildings, places and cities.

Alex took the course called “WORKING WITH HERITAGE”. The course included modules on funding restoration though architectural heritage fund. Guest lecturers gave inspiring case studies from north, south, east and west of the UK.

In true LSA style the course also required some practical real-life drawing and proposals. Alex joined a group that studied possibilities for the restoration of the Cooperage in Newcastle upon Tyne. Here are some of the drawings that were done by the group exploring how to adapt and sustain the old, abandoned building.
