Hambledon Vineyard Restaurant

Hambledon Wineries Limited

Hambledon Vineyard is the country’s first commercial winery.

We have designed a new restaurant, visitor experience and educational facilities at the top of the vineyard. A modern green oak barn with contemporary furnishings creates an environment that honours the modern and optimistic spirit of the pioneers who first established the vineyard in 1952

The venue, in the South Downs National Park has a bar in a tall oak barn and a restaurant in a lower barn. The restaurant looks over the vineyard beyond.

A timber wrapped spiral staircase connects the Bar to a future Phase below.

The large barns were designed and made in Green Oak. This has a rough and agricultural quality in keeping with the vineyard. The furniture is made from a refined pallette of Ash and Walnut which is smooth and delicate.

The head chef, Nick Edgar, serves a fresh seasonal menu to accompany Hambledon’s sparkling wines.

We designed several pieces of bespoke furniture including movable retail units for Hambledon products and items sourced from partner companies in the South Downs.
